Radio commercial: Emirates Airlines

I was listening to the radio this morning when I heard the commercial for Emirates Airlines. They say that their cabin crew speaks a least 5 languages. Is that collectively or individually? If that was individually, imagine their HR requirements!

Segway Recalls 23,500 Scooters

I didn’t know they sold that many. In 2001, they introduced this electric scooter that would ideally replace walking. It operates by sensing the riders’ movements and then translating that to left, right, forward, and backward movements. Earlier this year they even announced an off-road version.

Segway Inventor, Dean Kamen, has two new ideas

Producing clean water and generating electricity using small machines. The main idea is to bring these resources to remote parts of Africa, Asia, and even the Middle East. We all take electricity and water for granted because for us, their existence is already a given. When we get to work, we open our PCs. Clean and potable water is just at the water dispenser.
