A few my batchmates for a master’s degree have switched jobs either to accomodate their new schedule or to move to greener pastures. I have recently come across a list of jobs that are proposed to have more open positions in the next few years. IT still tops it 6 of 10 jobs, healthcare at 30% and only 1 position for a college instructor.

An interesting job would be a script consultant, but one would have to read mindless ramblings of an aspiring screenplay writer.
