1143232181-00I’ve been playing this game for about 3 months now, and it doesn’t seem to end. Talk about role-playing. Now with several expansions out, I don’t think I’m ever going to finish. It does get a bit tedious at times, but the idea of exploring always seems interesting. What with running all over the place chasing after items, finishing quests, getting this item for so and so, its a fun adventure game, and an RPG similar to what you’d encounter in MMORPGs.

Whats interesting is that games nowadays offer female characters. in the olden days (ehem!) you either played Mario or Luigi or in most games the knight in shining armor rescuing the princess. So far, I’ve seen a few (adventure) games offer female protagonists. Here are others that I’ve tried:

So who would want to play a guy and have other characters call you ’sir’? I get to be called ’sister’ in some parts of the game in Oblivion. That is still a small percentage of the many games we see development companies put out every month. Okay, I’m not counting those games for kiddies that have princesses in them and where you play dress up and such and also those casual games such as Diner Dash. It wouldn’t matter much in those games if you were a guy or a girl.

So for the female gamers out there, isn’t it refreshing to play as female characters?

this is a very nice game… actually it’s awesome… i’ve been playing oblivion for 4 months now… and have finished the game about 7 times already but it’s still the best game i’ve played so far…

playing oblivion on the xbox 360 is one thing but playing it on the PC is another story… because you can play with the stats whatever want to do (by hex-editing the stats of course) but on the xbox you have to be a member of the mages guild to able to fool around with your stats…
    nice article and nice page…

Lol! Finishing a game and still playing it? It reminds me of the good old days when Doom was chugging along on my old Pentium 1. I Also recently saw a blog on the sturdiness the old Gameboy. I think I still have mine, and yes, it still runs Tetris!

I’ll find it one of these days and post a picture.

I’d like to play Oblivion on the Xbox 360 someday, when it’s not as expensive as it is now. Tried it on the PC and I found the movement and combat controls a little awkward. Morrowind is my all-time favorite RPG.
