We hope that making this data available will have a positive effect on best practices and employment, and will enhance public understanding of, and respect for, our profession.

Wow! Interesting survey, but it didn’t ask how I go about designing and the stuff I use. Perhaps they just want to know how many people are reading their site regularly or how many professionals are willing to take the survey. It might be a little skewed result due to the randomness of the survey, but maybe your answer will help even it out a bit.

Demographically speaking, developers in our country earn comparatively less than in other countries, thereby increasing the number of business process outsourcing(BPO) outfits here. Many of my friends have entered that career path, I just don’t know how long that path is.
