I was watching a few shows last Sunday night and while flipping though channels, there was one show that simply did not seem well thought through and was simply trying a mash up between the superhero hype and the reality shows. It had Stan Lee of Marvel Comics as the ‘judge’ and its title is/was ‘Who Wants to be a Superhero?’

Something is really wrong here. I watched a few minutes of the show, the part where non-worthy superheroes were being picked out because the were not superhero-ish in their actions-something like ignoring a kid because of something (partial flashback). It is going for its second season so it should have had enough viewers to be able to justify another run. Still weird. The adverts says ‘be a real-life superhero…’ Uh… Can’t I do that without going on the show?

Stan Lee’s creation the Fantastic Four will be coming out in theaters again in June together with the Silver Surfer. For those who haven’t read the comic or watched the old cartoons, it isn’t supposed to be a very long flick. I wonder how they’ll play this one off in the big screen.
