Art Gallery Photos, Slightly Differently

Here’s a slightly different form of art, body art—Tattoos. In the beaches of Boracay, you can get a henna tattoo that fades after a few days or weeks. The ones here are slightly more permanent and more elaborate.Up until a few years ago, tattoos were considered to be ‘for life’ and if you wanted one, it was something you’d have to live with until your skin peels off.
Today, there are laser treatments to remove the tattoo. I just don’t know how much of a clean slate it creates. Eventually you’d notice that something was previously there. Skin is skin and on a human body, it can be a limited resource. For some who are healthier, there might be more than the regular 2sqm of ‘canvas’ to work with, but once you write it down, it is going to be there for sometime.
Tattoos really give meaning to the work personalized. Each artwork is unique as they are hand drawn and well, they are on a ‘person’. On a lighter note, I read in a YA book about a young mage having flowers and vines as tattoos since his magic was plant-related. It mentioned his tattoos were moving/growing. That would be something, multi-media tattoos. ![]()
