Many spas and salons have been mushrooming in the city recently. I accompanied a family friend to a spa once and felt very relaxed even at the entrance and receiving area only.

Whats so great about visiting a spa? The smells, the colors, the sounds—or the lack of sounds, aside from the water—the whole atmosphere, perhaps? It may just be the combination of it all. Expect to be pampered and receive nothing but the best service from a spa. Maybe even a healthy snack or two.

A friend recommends that one visit the spas in the morning when the staff are still fresh. No, nothing like Count Dracula! It just means that they haven’t been exhausted by massaging other clients yet. ;) If you do happen to visit in the afternoon, take note of how your massage goes. Otherwise, you might feel like a tenderized piece of meat when your attendant just randomly hits you. You might feel worse than when you first went in.

A few other friends have a different idea, they say that it is better to just have workout on your own than geting someone else do the work for you. In my college days, I had PE twice a week. It felt painful at the start. All my muscles were aching and I could barely get up from bed on the day after the workouts, but after a few weeks, it felt great. I felt like there was more energy around me.

Gone are those days now, I just live a sendentary life, typing away at my keyboard. I try to get a some exercise done during the weekends to compensate for my weekdays. How about you?
